Cho Jung-sik, secretary-general of the Democratic Party of Korea, said at a press conference on the public sentiment at the National Assembly today, "The appearance of violating the basic rights of the constitution, denying the history of democracy, and using the reign of terror as a means of governance is an infallible form of dictatorship."



As a result of hearing public sentiment during the Lunar New Year holiday, constituency lawmakers argued that there were many opinions that the prosecution's successive summons notifications to Lee Jae-myeong were suppression to destroy the opposition party.

Policy Committee Chairman Kim Seong-hwan, who was present at the meeting, said that there was a lot of criticism toward the Yoon Seok-yeol government in relation to people's livelihood.



Policy Committee Chairman Kim emphasized, “The number of people visiting the market has decreased by half compared to last year.”



In addition, he said, "It is a very big pain that the heating cost has more than doubled," he said.



Policy Committee Chairman Kim also said, “If necessary, we will try through legislation and supplementary budget requests,” with the government not responding to the proposal of the 30 trillion won “emergency public livelihood project” mentioned at the New Year’s press conference.
