However, the main result in Brå's evaluation shows that the police's forensic activities are still lagging behind.
Above all, it is the IT forensic activity that is not enough.
- Although the forensic activities have increased, the police's investigative activities have increased even more, says Anna-Lena Beutgen, investigator at Brå.
She believes that more staff are needed, but that this does not solve the entire problem.
- It needs to become clearer which cases are to be prioritized.
Investigation managers also need to make better orders, so that the specialists are not burdened with simpler investigations that other functions can carry out, says Anna-Lena Beutgen.
