Pauline Rapilly-Ferniot, municipal councilor in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine), was recently sentenced for the degradation of a golf course located in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines).
She received a citizenship course that she completed on Monday, reports

On August 22, 2022, in the midst of a drought, the elected ecologist (EELV) set up a vegetable garden in the middle of the green with other members of the Ibiza collective.
The objective was to denounce climate inaction and the use of water resources during the historic heat wave.
This morning we set up a vegetable garden on a golf green in the Yvelines.
As the episodes of droughts and heat waves multiply, we must ask the question of the use of our water resources.
Preserving golf courses, is that the priority?

A citizenship course already completed
After the facts, the president of the French Golf Federation filed a complaint.
The public prosecutor of Versailles decided to transform these prosecutions into a citizenship course to be carried out as a penalty, which Pauline Rapilly-Ferniot accepted.
“I was pleasantly surprised by the content of the course,” said the elected official leaving the course on Monday.
“As an observer, I find this alternative useful and intelligent.
[But] as an environmental activist, it is not suitable because there is nothing more civic than actions of civil disobedience.
