The Federal Public Prosecution ordered the imprisonment of the owner and manager of a private company, on charges of fraudulently obtaining sums of money from Emirati trainees in the company within the “Nafes” program, after it was established from the investigations of the Capital Prosecution that the owner and manager of a private company that includes two employees, registered his company within the “Nafes” program. The owner of the company required the trainees to pay sums of money that each of them deposited in the company's account, claiming that it was part of an initiative to donate to charity, threatening them that if they did not pay those sums, he would evaluate their training with a failing degree, and it was also found that he does not provide them with direct training of scientific value. Or a process, which is considered a fraud to take their money unlawfully, and in violation of the provisions of the "Nafes" program.

It is worth noting that the Public Prosecution ordered, last December, the imprisonment of the manager of a company in the private sector, after it was proven that he had employed more than 40 citizens in a nominal manner.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation took administrative measures, in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers on “Nafes” sanctions, against an employer who appointed 43 citizens of his family members in a fictitious manner, under one job title, to circumvent the Emiratization ratios and benefit from the benefits of the “Nafes” programs.

Last November, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation referred a private company to the Public Prosecution for deducting sums from the financial support allocated from the “Nafes” program for Emirati trainees who joined the company for training through the program platform.

With the aim of strengthening oversight and raising the level of compliance in the labor market, the Ministry called on all citizens working in the private sector or members of society to report any wrong practices in the labor market, through the Ministry's application or by calling 600590000.

The application of penalties to violating companies comes within the framework of implementing Cabinet Resolution No. 95 of 2022 regarding violations and administrative penalties related to “Nafes” initiatives and programs, which entrusted the Ministry and the UAE Competitiveness Council (Nafes) with applying administrative penalties according to jurisdiction.
