The leader of Podemos in Aragón distances herself from Irene Montero and makes self-criticism about the law of 'only if it is yes'

This has been expressed in an intervention on the Ser de Zaragoza channel, where he has also said: "It makes me very angry, what is happening is a tragedy" with women whose sexual offenders are benefiting from the law.

With these statements, to a certain extent, the leader of Podemos in Aragón distances herself from the star law of the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero.

Díaz has declared that "there are many women who are seeing how their sexual offenders or how the people who have abused them benefit from a law that did not have that vocation."

And he added that "neither the vocation of the law nor the vocation of the legislator was for what is happening to happen, but what is happening is a tragedy."

Díaz, who will head the Podemos list for the Aragon presidency, has made self-criticism and has acknowledged that everything has been "very clouded by those sentences and sentence reductions that should not have taken place."

However, he pointed out that "the law had other very positive parts that will probably be seen over the years."

Faced with criticism from the former mayoress of Madrid,

, who accused her own party of not wanting to change the rule due to "child arrogance", the leader of Podemos in Aragon has defended that "not changing the law is not a matter of arrogance, it is a question of legislation".

He has insisted that "even if we were to modify the legislation, the prisoners could take advantage, as they have done, of the most favorable law and, therefore, we would no longer have room for manoeuvre."
