Peskov commented on US plans to recognize the Wagner group as a criminal organization

“I don’t think that in terms of application it has any significance for our country, or even more so for the Wagner PMC,” Peskov said.

Earlier, John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the US National Security Council, said that the United States had decided to recognize Wagner PMC as an "international criminal organization."

He added that Washington will introduce restrictive measures against PMCs and "support networks on many continents."

Politico, citing sources in the administration, reported that the US government was concerned about the expansion of Wagner PMC activities in Europe and Africa.
