Latvia will lower the level of diplomatic relations with Russia from February 24

The head of the Latvian Foreign Ministry, Edgar Rinkevich, wrote about this on his Twitter. 

He stated that Riga made such a decision as a sign of solidarity with Estonia.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Russia was lowering the level of diplomatic relations with Estonia.

The ministry indicated that the Estonian ambassador should leave Russia on February 7.

In response, the Estonian Foreign Ministry ordered the Russian ambassador to leave the republic on February 7.
