It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the General Prosecutor's Office of Germany.
“The defendants are reasonably suspected of having founded an intra-German terrorist association,” the ministry said in a statement.
Charges have been brought against them in connection with this suspicion.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the defendants formed a group no later than mid-January 2022 and set themselves the goal of using violence to bring the country into “conditions close to civil war, thereby wanting to lead to the fall of the federal government and parliamentary democracy.”
On December 7, 25 people were detained in Germany on suspicion of plotting a coup.
It is also noted that in this case, German law enforcement agencies conducted searches in 11 federal states.
German Prosecutor General Peter Frank said that those suspected of preparing a coup wanted to create a new army, among other things.
