According to the British "Daily Telegraph" report, videos on social media showed that Johnson was escorted by the police to visit a church in Bucha.

An official Ukrainian source described Johnson's trip as "neither official nor private" and strongly suggested he would meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but declined to confirm it.

British Sky News reported that Johnson said in a statement that it was an honor to visit Ukraine at the invitation of President Zelensky, saying that "now is the time to give Ukrainians all the tools they need to complete their tasks."

A spokesman said they would not comment on any details of the trip for security reasons and said Johnson fully supported the British government's policy towards Ukraine, including the recent decision to send tanks there.

British media reported in mid-January that Johnson planned to travel to Ukraine again and meet with Zelensky.

However, senior leaders of the British Conservative Party worry that if Johnson visits Ukraine again, it may weaken the authority of the current Prime Minister Sunak.
