A serious traffic accident occurred on Monday morning on national road 165, near the town of Saint-Ségal in Finistère, we learned from the departmental operational center for fire and rescue.

Around 9:50 a.m., the driver of a heavy goods vehicle stopped on the hard shoulder to inspect his truck, which was towed by a recovery vehicle.

It was then that a tire of the truck exploded, seriously injuring its driver.

The 60-year-old victim was transported by ambulance to the La Cavale Blanche hospital center in Brest.

About fifteen firefighters were mobilized on the intervention which led to significant slowdowns.
