Suspected of being involved in major drug trafficking, nine people were indicted this Friday in the Yvelines.

It all started on September 7, when a motorist was arrested at a toll gate in the south of Yvelines.

230 g of cannabis resin and 2,310 euros in cash had been discovered, reports 78 news.

An analysis of the driver's phone had brought to light an important network, with traffickers operating in Ile-de-France and in the surrounding departments.

Four imprisoned people

Investigators also discovered a group on Telegram, where customers could place their orders, which were then passed on to pickers and then to delivery people.

According to them, the organization made more than 400 deliveries per month for an estimated turnover of around 100,000 euros.

A dozen men and women were arrested on January 17, in several departments.

The traffic was managed from a prison by a 23-year-old young man.

Four suspects were imprisoned, the other five were placed under judicial control.
