Earlier, Pushilin said that the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to destroy the salt mines while leaving Soledar.

In mid-January, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Soledar was taken thanks to constant artillery fire and air strikes and missile forces of the Russian Armed Forces.
