Foreign media reported that additional confidential documents were found at the private residence of US President Joe Biden.

President Biden's personal lawyer, Bob Bauer, said in a statement that additional classified documents were found at his sister-in-law's residence in Wilmington, Delaware.

In addition, when the search and seizure took place, President Biden and his wife were not at the scene, lawyer Bauer said.

According to Attorney Bauer, the FBI obtained several documents, including six items with classified markings and consisting of several appendices.

Some of the classified documents found this time were written during President Biden's tenure as a senator between 1973 and 2009, and other documents appear to have been written when he was vice president of the Obama administration between 2019 and 2017.

President Biden's White House lawyer, Richard Sauber, said, "The president's attorneys and the White House will continue to cooperate so that the Justice Department and special prosecutor's investigation process proceeds quickly and efficiently."

Earlier, the fact that confidential documents from the vice president's days were found in President Biden's private office was first disclosed on the 9th and has been controversial in the political world.

In this regard, the opposition Republican Party of the United States has criticized that, unlike when confidential documents were found at former President Trump's home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, there is no forced investigation, such as seizure and search, in President Biden's private office.
