Russia vows to respond in kind to the freezing of the accounts of the "RT" channel in France

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that freezing the accounts of the French-language RT channel will lead to retaliatory measures against the French media in Russia.

And according to what was reported by the Russian news agency TASS, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow announced today, Saturday, that the response measures that Russia will take "will be of the kind that will remain in the memory of Paris, if the French authorities do not stop terrorizing Russian journalists."

And the French-language RT channel reported, on Friday, that the French authorities decided to freeze her bank accounts on French soil.

The head of the channel, Ksenia Fedorova, said: "We received a letter from our bank regarding the freezing of French RT accounts at the request of the French authorities, against the backdrop of the ninth package of sanctions against Russia that was taken last December."

Earlier, the Russian embassy in France expressed its condemnation of seizing the bank accounts of the French-speaking RT channel, noting that this is a flagrant violation of the principles of media freedom, and goes beyond the European Union's sanctions against Russia.
