Buzz Aldrin, second person to set foot on the Moon, marries on his 93rd birthday

Legendary Apollo 11 astronaut

, the second person to walk on the Moon, announced that he married his girlfriend on Friday, her 93rd birthday.

, executive vice president of the company Buzz Aldrin Ventures, were married in a private ceremony.

"On my 93rd birthday (...)

," Aldrin tweeted, along with photos of him and Faur, who some reports say is 63. years.

"We were joined in holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles and we are

," added the astronaut.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Faur earned a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 1996, and before joining Buzz Aldrin Ventures he worked for Union Carbide and Johnson Matthey.

She was also the treasurer of the California Hydrogen Business Council.

Aldrin's three previous marriages ended in divorce.
