A European country called for stopping the supply of weapons to Kyiv, stressing that the continuation of military aid to Ukraine could lead to a global conflict, while Kyiv celebrated the arrival of new weapons from Britain.

Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said that supplying weapons to Kyiv means extinguishing the fire with gasoline, and this means recognizing that there will be more victims, and added that Bulgaria should not support the conflict in Ukraine.

The Bulgarian president noted that the confrontation in Ukraine has become more violent and expanded, which will lead to a global economic catastrophe that is already felt by the people of Europe.

This call comes at a time when pressure has mounted on Germany to provide Kyiv with qualitative combat tanks.

"Leopard 2" in the heart of the tensions

The foreign ministers of the three Baltic states, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, called on Germany to provide Leopard tanks to Ukraine immediately, holding Berlin with a special responsibility in this regard as a leading European power.

Ukraine's allies had failed to agree to hand over heavy tanks, during their meeting yesterday at the Ramstein base in Germany.

The dispute centered mainly on the supply of German-made Leopard 2 combat tanks to Kyiv.

The German Defense Ministry denied Berlin's opposition to transferring these tanks to Ukraine unilaterally, but said it was ready to move quickly if a consensus was reached between the allies.

This dispute prompted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to say that there is no alternative to providing modern tanks to Ukraine to enhance the Ukrainian army's ability to withstand and achieve progress on the ground.

"An achievement to be reckoned with for Poland"

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian-speaking "Voice of America" channel quoted Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov as saying that Ukrainian forces will train on German "Leopard 2" tanks in Poland.

He added that this will be done despite the allies not reaching an agreement to supply Kyiv with these tanks.

Reznikov said the tank training was a creditable achievement for Poland.

For his part, Ukrainian presidential advisor Mikhail Podolyak called for Ukraine to hand over the necessary weapons as soon as possible.

Podolyak said in a tweet that the global reluctance to hand over arms to Ukraine is killing more Ukrainian people.

In a related context, the Ukrainian Minister of Defense broadcast scenes on his Twitter account, commenting, "Sea King has arrived from the United Kingdom to her new kingdom near the Black Sea in Ukraine, and this is a strong reinforcement of the Ukrainian Navy."

The Ukrainian Defense Minister thanked his British counterpart, adding, "Together we will protect the seas and lands across Europe."

Sea King from the UK has arrived in its new kingdom near the Black Sea in Ukraine!

It is a strong reinforcement for the Ukrainian Navy.

Our cooperation will continue to increase.

The pro-Russian authorities in the province said that the Russian army managed to destroy the first line of defense of the Ukrainian army in the Zaporizhia axis.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian side denied the Russian version, and a spokesman for the Ukrainian forces told Al-Jazeera that their forces control all of its positions, and the Ukrainian army indicated that the Russian bombardment continued on more than 20 areas in Zaporizhia.
