In Lille, this Friday, an octogenarian was in police custody after hitting another motorist the day before and then fatally rolling over her body during a road dispute, police sources told AFP.

The 86-year-old respondent refused to draw up a report after hitching the victim's car when leaving a parking space in Ronchin, near Lille, one of these sources detailed.

She runs over him while fleeing

The 66-year-old victim then stood in front of the octogenarian's vehicle to prevent him from leaving.

But the suspect had started, throwing her on her hood, then on the ground, before rolling over her while fleeing, according to the same source.

The 60-year-old died on the spot from her injuries, after paramedics failed to revive her.

The questioning was quickly arrested, late Thursday afternoon.

An investigation is underway to determine in particular whether she was able to drive.
