CEC: extraordinary elections to local representative bodies in Kazakhstan will be held on March 19

This was announced by a member of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Sabila Mustafina.

“To appoint extraordinary elections of deputies of maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan for March 19,” TASS quoted her as saying. 

Mustafina added that the voting will take place on the same day as the earlier scheduled early elections to the lower house of the republic's parliament.

Earlier, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev dissolved the Mazhilis (lower house) of the republic's parliament.

Extraordinary elections of deputies will be held on March 19.
