Public transport is almost paralyzed on this first day of mobilization against the pension reform, and this, throughout France.

Europe 1 went to Strasbourg station where many users seem to have made their arrangements, and others are trying to find a plan B to go to work.

On foot, by bike, on a scooter... Everyone is looking for a plan B this Thursday morning to go to work.

On this first day of mobilization, the unions want to strike hard against retirement at 64.

Objective: one million people in the street.

But throughout France, transport almost paralyzed, one in ten TER on average, one in three TGVs on the North and South-East axes, one in five towards the Atlantic, one in four towards the East.

A black Thursday morning for users.

This is the case in Alsace, at Strasbourg station.

"There is nothing, no bus, no TER"

Europe 1 met Lucas there.

For him, it's very complicated this morning.

"It's a hassle. I was supposed to take a TGV from Paris to Strasbourg on Wednesday evening. Except that it was cancelled. So we found a bus and we arrived in Strasbourg at 1:45 a.m. tonight to go north" , he explains.

"But there is nothing, neither bus, nor TER. I am waiting at the station a little warm and I have a Blablacar that I will join and which will take me home. I have five minutes to change before going to work. What is certain is that I will drink a lot of coffee and take a lot of breaks today", he smiles.

If it's very complicated for Lucas, what is the overall situation at Strasbourg station this Thursday morning?

First of all, many people seem to know about the strike since there are very few people in the station, which is usual in the early morning.

40 to 50 minute wait for buses and trams

But looking at the billboards, we see that it will be complicated.

Only two TGVs this morning to and from Paris, no TER before noon throughout Alsace.

But it will be almost the only one of the day before 9 p.m.

As for the trams and buses, there are still a few at this time, but there too, it will deteriorate over the course of the day, with sometimes 40 to 50 minutes of waiting.

So, like Lucas, we will have to take our troubles patiently today and find plans B.
