The Yvelines departmental public security directorate said on Wednesday that a 20-year-old woman had been convicted of injuring several people while driving her car.

She appeared before the court of Versailles (Yvelines) for facts that took place on January 11, indicates Franceinfo.

The respondent was sentenced to 18 months in prison, four of which were suspended.

She was also the subject of a warrant of committal.

The young woman was accused of stealing her father's car from La Verrière and trying to run him over while fleeing.

The police had subsequently spotted the driver in Trappes and found that she was inhaling nitrous oxide in the vehicle.

The motorist had tried to escape the police and had struck three police vehicles with his car.

Four officials were injured in the collision.

They had been prescribed ITT ranging from three to 15 days.

The respondent was finally arrested and placed in police custody, where she admitted the facts.
