More than a million people (1.12 million) marched Thursday in France, including 80,000 in Paris, against the government's pension reform project, according to a count released by the Ministry of the Interior.

More than 10,000 police and gendarmes were mobilized, including 3,500 in Paris, to supervise the processions and stem any excesses during this day of mobilization at the call of all the unions.

The secretary general of the CGT, Philippe Martinez, claimed two million for his part throughout the territory.
