A man from the Offenbach district bet on the six correct numbers in Wednesday's lottery draw.
He was the only player in Germany to bet on the numbers 1, 8, 21, 25, 37 and 46 of the Six-out-of-49 lottery and thus won the entire amount of the second prize category alone, exactly 1,235,233.80 euros.
It is the first million-dollar win of the year in Hesse.
In order to crack the jackpot, the Hessian was missing the right super number 9.
