Air units of Russia and Belarus have begun to perform tasks as part of the exercises

This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.

“As part of the second stage of the joint tactical flight exercise of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, aviation units ... have begun to perform tasks for their intended purpose,” the message says.

From the airfields of Machulishchi, Baranovichi and Lida, the crews perform the tasks of conducting aerial reconnaissance, fighter aviation cover for state and military facilities, and also work out issues of overcoming enemy air defenses.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus informed about the start of the tactical flight exercises of the Union State.

During the exercises, it is planned to work out conducting aerial reconnaissance, joint patrolling of airspace along the border and air support for groupings of troops.
