In Paris, the procession of demonstrators mobilized against the pension reform is preparing to leave the Place de la République.

The exact number of people has not yet been counted.

But many of them have come from other departments of Île-de-France like these CFDT unionists who have reserved a bus to reach Paris from Trappes, in the Yvelines.

A million demonstrators this Thursday in the streets of France to protest against the pension reform?

This is the objective of the union.

The intelligence services, themselves, provide between 550,000 and 750,000 people, including four 20,000 in Paris alone.

In the capital, the demonstrators are on their way, like the CFDT trade unionists whom Europe 1 was able to meet.

They booked a bus to reach Paris from Trappes, in the Yvelines to be sure to arrive on time.

The pension reform, the blow too many

Two coaches are chartered for the occasion.

160 passengers huddle together to get to Paris and make their anger heard.

"I absolutely do not want to work until I am 64. Under the current conditions, we are just making fun of ourselves, so it is not possible. Today, I am advancing in age, I I am 45 years old, I do not see myself doing this for another 20 years", exclaims Christine, director of an early childhood service, at the microphone of Europe 1. "I have two children, what future are we going to give them? leave? I don't know but we really have to stop taking ourselves for donkeys, "she says.

Christine is not used to demonstrations, she takes to the streets for the second time in her life.

“The street must speak out”

Jean-François, 50, is an engineer for a large automotive group.

Today, he says he is "really tired".

"After spending years, like many young people, in temporary work and subcontracting companies, I'm going to have a holey career and leave much later than 62. The street needs to speak out “, he asserts.

The demonstrators meet at the Place de la République, the place of the rally.
