.

This Thursday, the police were alerted after the discovery of a dead horse on a private road.

A quick neighborhood survey revealed that the animal had been dead for several days, in his field, and that his body had obviously been moved.

Contacted, the owner of the horse did not respond.

Horse owner wanted

The next day, authorities were again called to the same area.

Residents had spotted two horses in very poor condition in a field.

In the end, four animals seeming to lack water and food and another corpse of a horse were discovered by the police.

All belonged to the same man, contacted the day before.

The two most weakened horses, including one in a worrying state, were entrusted to a specialized association.

Investigators are now looking for the owner of the horses, who faces up to four years in prison and a fine of 60,000 euros for voluntary abandonment of animals with immediate or imminent risk of death.
