- We have had many debates and have both stated that we will not come any further - it is the same old argument, we are done with each other, said SD leader Jimmie Åkesson.

He added:

- Having said that;

I have appreciated the debates, they have been needed.

Clear ideological counterpoints are needed for politics to come alive.

I want to say a big thank you to Annie Lööf for these years.

It is customary to hand out gifts when a party leader makes his last debate, from Åkesson it was the book "The National State" and an invitation to meet to see Mjällby play against Värnamo this autumn.

Several other party leaders gave donations to selected organizations in Lööf's name and an invitation to socialize outside of politics.

Ebba Busch: "You got in touch and invited"

Nooshi Dadgostar (L) wants to see each other on a spa day, Johan Pehrson (L) over a pizza, Magdalena Andersson (S) wants to grill sausages in Nacka with Lööf and KD leader Ebba Busch wants to talk confidentially over a dinner.

- You are the colleague I have had for the longest time, when it was clear that I would become leader of the Christian Democrats, you got in touch and invited me to a meeting.

You were the party leader I first sat down with, Ebba Busch said.

She was noticeably touched when she talked about the conditions Lööf had.

- Woman to woman and perhaps above all mother to mother, I sincerely hope that when the dust settles you will feel that it was worth it;

that we made the path a little wider for our daughters.
