For some time, the police in Medelpad have had specially appointed personnel who work with safety-creating efforts to prevent violent crimes from occurring.
- It's nothing unique, it's the market that really, like all organized crime, gathers around, says Josef Wiklund, local police area manager in Medelpad.

He says that the situation is strained for the police and that they are helping in southern Sweden.
- We are reinforcing Stockholm from the local police area and from all of Västernorrland, so that they will have better conditions to stop this wave of violence, says Josef Wiklund.
