The suspected murder of an eight-year-old boy in Luleå has upset many people.

In order to ensure that the municipality of Östersund has good routines for catching cases where children are at risk of being exposed to violence, or witnessing violence, the municipal director has been tasked with mapping how all administrations ensure good handling.

- We must ensure that children in Östersund get the protection they need, says Effie Kuorlos (C).

As for the case in Luleå, it was the district court that had decided that the father of the eight-year-old had the right to visit the child.

Effie Kuorlos is a lawyer herself and knows how the legal system works.

She believes that Sweden should introduce childhood courts.
