The football association Friska viljor, instead of training three times a week in the hall, has had to find other solutions - among other things, they have rented the football hall in Ullånger in Kramfors municipality.

- We take it week by week, but you are calling for some kind of announcement, says Erik Johansson.

Weak roof construction is the reason why the two halls are closed in the event of large amounts of snow, which also complicates snow removal.

- The football hall and Modohallen are still closed because we have not removed the snow and now there has been more snow, notes Anneli von Wachenfeldt, deputy head of the leisure unit at Örnsköldsvik municipality.

“Large ceilings and difficult to access”

SVT: What made it take so long to remove the snow?

- Partly it has to do with the machines not holding up.

But it takes time.

There are large roofs, it is difficult to access and the previous snow was also very heavy and hard and then it takes longer to sweep.

The municipality currently has no forecast for when the halls can reopen.

- We feel very sorry for association life and we are equally disappointed, says Anneli von Wachenfeldt.
