This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.

“For new negotiations, it is necessary ... recognition (or at least tacit acceptance) of the results of self-determination of the people of the former territories of Ukraine, which are embodied today in the internal law of Russia - in its Constitution,” he wrote in Telegram.

According to Medvedev, it is also necessary to develop special international norms "calculated on the current situation and future international relations."

Earlier, the press secretary of the Ukrainian leader, Sergei Nikiforov, said that Ukraine does not deny the possibility of a dialogue with Russia if it is based on the universal principles of international law.

In turn, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the statement of the Kyiv authorities about their readiness for negotiations, noted that Ukrainian legislation excludes the possibility of a negotiation process.
