The deputy of Doubs Annie Genevard, who had acted as interim head of LR after the departure of Christian Jacob, will become general secretary of LR.

The organization chart will also see the promotion of the former Sarkozyist minister Rachida Dati to the post of president of the National Council.

Former EU Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier will be appointed special adviser in charge of international relations.

As for the deputy of the Alpes-Maritimes Michèle Tabarot, a close friend of the new president, she will chair the National Investiture Commission, a strategic position hitherto occupied by Eric Ciotti.

Lot deputy Aurélien Pradié came third in the election for the head of LR in December, with 22% of the votes in the first round, according to him attesting to the weight of the popular right in the party.

MEP François-Xavier Bellamy is for his part close to Bruno Retailleau, finalist of the election on a promise of renewal which had convinced more than 46% of LR members in the second round.
