  According to the entry requirements of the mainland, all people entering the mainland must have a negative result of the new crown nucleic acid test taken within 48 hours before travel before entering the mainland.

At present, the relevant entry nucleic acid testing requirements do not exempt any category of people.

  After communication between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the relevant mainland authorities, starting from midnight on the 19th, children aged three and under who enter the mainland from Hong Kong will not need to hold a negative nucleic acid test result certificate taken within 48 hours before travel. They can also enter inland.

  As for young children coming to Hong Kong from the Mainland or any other regions, the HKSAR government has been exempting children under the age of three from relevant testing requirements since June last year.

The HKSAR Government will issue a gazette to update the relevant exemption arrangements to apply to children aged three and below.

In other words, starting from the 19th, children aged three and under are not required to undergo a nucleic acid test within 48 hours before travel, whether they come to Hong Kong from the mainland or enter the mainland from Hong Kong.
