“The United States is expected to announce one of the largest military aid packages to Ukraine in the coming days... But Kyiv is asking for modern tanks, a request that the United States is not going to satisfy yet,” CNN reported, citing official sources.
White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said earlier that the US could announce a new aid package for Ukraine by the end of this week.
It was also reported that the Pentagon is using a stockpile of American ammunition in warehouses in Israel to supply 155-mm shells to Ukraine.
