Today, Tuesday, the Emirates News Agency reported that the President of the State, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, issued a federal law decree establishing the National Information Office, and appointing Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan as its president, with the rank of minister.

According to the decree, the office enjoys financial and administrative independence, and reports to the Minister of the Presidential Court.

The office aims to develop the media system in the country, support the coordination and cooperation mechanism, unify efforts between media agencies, and prepare national media leaders and cadres.

The office is also responsible for preparing, evaluating and following up the state’s media narrative inside and outside the state, and doing everything related to preserving and enhancing the state’s name and reputation, as well as representing the state in the media at all external and regional levels, according to the decree.
