The plans are for the park to be located outside Halmstad and Falkenberg.

So far, it is in the concept stage, but the goal is to have the wind farm in place by 2029 at the latest.

It is one of four new areas that the company Örsted wants to establish outside the Swedish coast.

Together, the company calculates that these will produce more than half of Sweden's total electricity consumption on an annual basis.

In total, there are already applications for four different wind farms off the coast of Halland that are awaiting notification from the government.
