During Monday, the water flow in Kolbäcksån was shut off and the police searched with a helicopter and drone for the missing man.
During the evening, the police had recalled the helicopter to check some suspicious things in the water.
Also on Tuesday, the water flow was temporarily shut off again, but this time too no findings were made.
There has been a great deal of involvement in the search for the missing man, both from the Home Guard and from the local population, but now the case is being handed over to the local police.
Relatives have also been informed about how the work will continue.
