.

This young man, residing in the small town of Fleury-Mérogis, about 15,000 inhabitants 25 km south of Paris, had been beaten up in the middle of the street on July 26, 2022 before dying the next day.

His death had occurred following a brawl between gangs from Evry and Fleury.

According to Lucas' uncle, who had testified to AFP at the time, his nephew was not involved in these clashes, but had "just left his house to go to a friend's house" when he had been violently assaulted.

A version supported by the mayor (PCF) Olivier Corzani, describing a "calm and gentle" teenager, who had found himself "at the wrong time in the wrong place".

Three minors among the arrested

Seven young adults had already been indicted for murder in an organized gang and imprisoned in August in this case.

Among the ten new arrested Tuesday are three minors, said the prosecution of Evry, contacted by AFP.

The arrests took place in the towns of Evry, Draveil and Lisses.

A judicial investigation was opened on August 2 in this case for intentional homicide in an organized gang and aggravated violence.
