The first knife-related incident came at seven in the evening when a man came to Södra Älvsbrog Hospital with stab wounds to the leg.

According to information given to the police, the man must have had a knife in his thigh when he arrived at the hospital, but despite this, no knife has been found by the police.

The man, who is in his thirties, is already known to the police and is now believed to have been subjected to serious assault.

Shot live fire in the leg

At half past seven, the next incident occurred with a person armed with a knife: Police were called to an address in Borås by paramedics who were there to take care of a man who was said to have been under the influence of drugs.

- When they arrive at the scene, they meet this man who has a knife and is threatening them, so they are forced to pull away and call the police, says Hans-Jörgen Ostler, the police's spokesperson.

According to the police, the man seemed under the influence of some drug and spoke incoherently.

He allegedly threatened the police patrol with a knife and a policeman then opened fire, hitting the man in the leg.

The police patrol then began treating the man.

Psychosocial care

During the evening, a technical examination is carried out and interrogations are planned to be held with the man.

- Then there is the psychosocial care of staff who have been involved in this and have been exposed to an attempted murder at the same time as conducting a criminal investigation, says Hans-Jörgen Ostler.

The man is suspected of attempted murder and attempted serious assault.

Found in stairwell at Norrby

Shortly after nine o'clock in the evening, a third knife-related alarm came in Borås.

A man in his 20s was found seriously injured in Norrby after the police were called there.

The man was found in a stairwell and according to the police incident report there was "a lot of blood at the scene".

He had puncture wounds to an arm and a leg and according to information given to the police, he had been stabbed.
