Lee Jae-myeong, representative of the Democratic Party, said today (17th), "The results of innovation must be respected, but it is not right to harm someone or burden the market with the evils of monopoly."

Representative Lee said at the 'online platform monopoly regulation and fair trade law enactment debate' held today at the National Assembly Member's Hall, "The government's role is to keep the market fair, so that the evils of centralized monopoly do not appear and unfair ones do not arise. It is important to do," he said.

CEO Lee emphasized, “In the midst of the digital revolution, it is clear that the online platform market is producing very innovative results in terms of efficiency.”

However, after the congratulatory speech at the debate, CEO Lee did not answer reporters' questions about whether he would respond to the prosecution's summons investigation related to the 'suspicion of corruption in the development of Wirye and Daejang-dong'.

Previously, the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office's anti-corruption investigation division 1 (chief prosecutor Eom Hee-joon) and 3 division (chief prosecutor Kang Baek-shin) notified Lee to come to the prosecution on the 27th of this month in relation to the suspicion of 'corruption in the development of Wirye and Daejang-dong'.
