Houthi militias continue to escalate in Taiz and Marib

The Houthi militia continued its attacks against the positions of the Yemeni army, the resistance, and residential neighborhoods on the various Taiz fronts, while continuing its combat escalation on the Marib fronts.

Field sources in Taiz stated that the Houthi militia launched a large-scale attack on the positions of the Yemeni army and the resistance, using various types of weapons, and the forces were able to suppress the Houthi fire sources that targeted their positions on the fronts of "Al-Sayahi, Al-Muqababah, Hathran, and Al-Ahtoub," and also responded to Houthi attacks and infiltration attempts. on other fronts.

In Marib, the Yemeni army and resistance forces thwarted an attempt by Houthi elements to advance towards their positions on the fronts of the southern axis of the governorate, and field sources confirmed the failure of an attack towards the eastern Balak front in the Ramli axis of the Al-Juba district.

The sources indicated that the militias launched sporadic attacks on the Yemeni army's positions in Al-Kasara and Al-Mushajh, west of Marib.

In addition, the head of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, renewed the council and the Yemeni government's welcome to any efforts to revive the armistice and establish peace.

According to the official Saba agency, Al-Alimi affirmed, during his meeting with the European Union ambassador to Yemen, Gabriel Viñales, the commitment of the council and the government to the just and comprehensive peace approach.

For his part, the European Union ambassador affirmed the Union's support for the efforts of the United Nations envoy to renew the armistice and build on it to reach a comprehensive peace agreement that meets the aspirations of all Yemenis.
