It's a completely crazy story, and yet it is very real.

While Europe has taken the decision to ban thermal cars by 2035, an American state, Wyoming, wants to ban electric cars according to the same schedule.

A parliamentary proposal aims to withdraw electric cars from commerce in 2035 to protect the local economy largely dependent on oil and gas.

The electrical threat

Wyoming's bill states that “Oil and gas production is the pride of Wyoming, creates countless jobs, and sustains the state's economy.

And the text continues: “Electric cars are difficult to recycle, depend on minerals whose extraction is problematic and would require too expensive investments to build charging infrastructure”.

It remains to be seen whether this proposal will be adopted or not…
