A 39-year-old woman of Romanian origin will be prosecuted for rebellion, violence and refusal to submit to a police check, reports France Bleu Hérault.
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, the police of Montpellier (Hérault), who suspected her of driving under the influence of alcohol, undertook to check her.
She was spotted at a red light because she took a long time to restart.
The driver is suspected of having refused the control and of having rebelled against the police.
They were also unable to carry out a blood alcohol test.
The driver's two children, aged 5 and 7, were in the car at the time.
She assured, continues France Bleu Hérault, that she did not understand what the police were telling her.
But her husband, contacted by the police to pick her up, explained to them that she did not speak French very well but that she understood it.
