Arestovich wrote a letter of resignation after the scandal surrounding his statements about the air defense of Ukraine

According to "STRANA.ua", Arestovich said that his resignation shows "an example of civilized behavior."

Earlier, the official said that the entrance of a residential building in the Dnieper was destroyed due to the operation of the Ukrainian air defense system.

After that, Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov spoke insultingly about Arestovich and demanded that the special services check him.

Arestovich then changed his mind and retracted his words about the situation with the collapse of the house.

The Kremlin emphasized that the Russian Armed Forces do not strike at residential buildings or social infrastructure facilities, and the journalists themselves saw the conclusion of some representatives of the Ukrainian side that "the tragedy was the result of counter-missiles."
