His identity has not leaked.

A former professional player of Olympique Lyonnais was sentenced Monday by the court of Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d'Armor) for several traffic offenses, reports France Bleu Armorique.

On June 20, the 20-year-old young man was arrested in downtown Saint-Brieuc after a chase with the police.

During a banal traffic check, he had refused to comply and had fled by taking a bus lane.

His escape did not last long because the young driver had crashed into street furniture, seriously damaging the vehicle which belonged to his mother.

To make matters worse, the young footballer was driving despite having had his license recently suspended for speeding and without insurance.

The court sentenced him to a three-year suspended prison sentence and a fine of 900 euros.

His driver's license was also canceled with a three-month ban on retaking it.
