Where do graduates go for employment?

Recently, well-known universities such as Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Jilin University released the employment quality report of the 2022 graduates, announcing the employment situation of graduates.

  In recent years, the positioning of the word "employment" has become clearer.

According to the "Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on Further Improving Employment Statistics and Verification of College Graduates", from 2021 onwards, the "employment rate" will be changed to "graduation destination implementation rate" to more accurately reflect college graduates going to higher education , Employment and other graduation destinations.

The graduation destination implementation rate includes agreement and contract employment rate, entrepreneurship rate, flexible employment rate and enrollment rate.

  According to the Tsinghua University 2022 Graduate Employment Quality Report, as of October 31, 2022, the graduation destination rate of Tsinghua University’s 2022 graduates is 98.0%.

According to the data, there are 8,003 Tsinghua University graduates in 2022, including 3,197 undergraduates (39.9%), 2,657 masters (33.2%), and 2,149 doctoral students (26.9%).

Among them, there were 5135 boys (64.2%) and 2868 girls (35.8%), the ratio of male to female was 1.8:1.

  In addition, according to the statistics of the whereabouts of graduates, 28.3% of Tsinghua University’s fresh graduates chose to study domestically, 7.1% went abroad (outside) for further study, 52.5% signed tripartite employment, and 10.1% had flexible employment.

  At Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as of November 30, 2022, the employment rate of 2022 full-time graduates of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (including the School of Medicine) has reached 97.61%, and the employment rate of going to national key industry units is 71.08%.

It is worth noting that the number of 2022 graduates from the school’s main department went to national defense science and technology units and the army for employment. A record high.

  In recent years, in order to cope with the severe and complex employment situation, the Ministry of Education and relevant departments have made every effort to develop and implement policy-based employment positions, and use policy-based positions to absorb the role of policy-based positions, and strive to stabilize the "basic market" of college graduates' employment.

  As a "double first-class" university located in Northeast China, Jilin University has a total of 17,373 graduates in 2022.

As of August 31, 2022, the overall graduation destination implementation rate of 2022 graduates is 85.86%, among which, the graduation destination implementation rate of undergraduate graduates is 83.69%, and the enrollment rate is 43.38%.

The graduation destination implementation rate of master graduates is 88.90%, the agreement and contract employment rate is 65.69%, and the enrollment rate is 10.65%.

  It is worth noting that in Jilin University, 1,183 graduates signed short-term research assistants and management assistants, of which 1,178 signed contracts with Jilin University.

Among the graduates, more than 6,000 people applied for the selection and transfer, and the total number of civil servants and transfer students was nearly 800, including 386 targeted transfer students.

  In recent years, more and more graduates have chosen to take root in the west and the grassroots, so that the flower of youth can bloom where the motherland and the people need it. The data also confirms this trend.

The overall employment rate of the 2022 graduates of Xi'an Jiaotong University, a well-known university in the west, is 98.66%, and the rate of further study for undergraduates has remained above 65% for three consecutive years.

The number of graduates in 2022 who went to key industries and key units accounted for 58.82% of the total employment.

From the perspective of economic regional distribution, the proportion of graduates in 2022 who are employed in the Midwest is 59.52%, of which 75.15% are doctors, 66.33% and 53.94% are undergraduates and masters, respectively.

  Nowadays, more and more college students choose to study for postgraduate study.

For example, in Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, as of December 1, 2022, the total number of graduates in the class of 2022 is 8,002, and 6,692 of them have confirmed their graduation destinations, with a graduation destination implementation rate of 83.63%.

  Among them, there are 1,310 unemployed graduates in the class of 2022, including 999 undergraduate graduates.

"Unemployed plan to go to higher education" is the most important reason for undergraduates not employed, accounting for 65.37% of unemployed undergraduates.

  For colleges and universities with obvious characteristics of disciplines and majors, the flow of graduates has a clearer tendency.

  As of August 31, 2022, the University of International Business and Economics has a total of 4,167 graduates of the 2022 class.

According to academic statistics, there are 1,921 undergraduates, 2,121 masters, and 125 doctoral students. The overall employment rate of the 2022 graduates of the school is 96.08% (as of October 31, 2022, the overall employment rate is 96.21%).

Enterprises entering the world's top 500 companies accounted for 28.22% of the total number of employed graduates, an increase of 1.5 percentage points over last year.

  At East China Normal University, the overall graduation destination implementation rate of 2022 graduates is 95.37%, the graduation destination implementation rate of full-time graduates is 95.08%, and the graduation destination implementation rate of part-time graduates is 96.74%.

Employment industries are mainly distributed in education-degree (50.67%), information technology (27.31%), finance (6.64%), public management (4.21%) and other industries.

  In Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, key fields such as communications, information technology, finance, aerospace and military industry are the main employment flows.

There are a total of 7,410 graduates of the school in 2022. As of October 31, 2022, the graduation destination implementation rate of the school's 2022 graduates is 91.73%.

In terms of major employment units, undergraduate graduates cover key fields such as communications, information technology, finance, aerospace and military industry, among which the top three are China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom; postgraduate graduates cover communications, information Key areas such as technology, finance, aerospace and military industry, government agencies and institutions, etc., are specifically distributed by Alibaba, Huawei, Tencent and ByteDance.

  Beijing Language and Culture University, known as the "Little United Nations", has a total of 1,929 graduates in the class of 2022, a slight increase from last year.

As of August 31, 2022, the overall graduation destination implementation rate of school graduates is 95.13%.

Overall, public institutions are graduates' favorites.

The report shows that 38.32% of employed graduates go to public institutions for employment.

There are differences in the specific employment units of graduates with different degrees. Among them, undergraduate graduates mainly enter other enterprises (47.06%), and master's and doctoral graduates mainly enter public institutions, accounting for 43.40% and 90.54% respectively.

  At Beijing International Studies University, as of October 31, 2022, the graduation destination implementation rate of the 2022 graduates is 93.26%.

The destination implementation rate of graduate students (94.86%) is higher than that of undergraduate students (92.63%).

Among the destinations of graduation, 1,561 people chose employment, and 569 people chose to go to higher education, with a ratio of 24.91%.

Among them, 239 people went to higher education in China, and 330 people went abroad for further study.

The top three countries for studying abroad are the United Kingdom (103 people), the United States (42 people), and Japan (31 people).
