Earlier, adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak, in an interview with The Globe and Mail, said that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky wants to ask Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to transfer Leopard 2 tanks to Kyiv.

According to the newspaper, Canada has 82 Leopard 2 tanks bought from Germany in 2007.

It was also reported that Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is heading to Germany, where he will try to convince local politicians to transfer tanks to Kyiv.

Prior to this, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about plans to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with Challenger 2 tanks and additional artillery systems.
