Thwarting military movements of the Houthi militia on the western coast of Yemen

The joint forces in Yemen were able to thwart new movements of the Houthi militia on the western coast fronts during the past few hours, as the militia tried to install missiles, dig trenches and establish sites in the Al-Faza and Al-Jabaliya areas of the Al-Tahita district, on the coastal strip south of Hodeidah, but the forces thwarted those Houthi attempts.

In Taiz, the Yemeni army and resistance forces thwarted an infiltration attempt by Houthi elements towards their positions in the Al-Shaqab front in the Sabr Al-Mawadim district, southeast of the governorate.

Regarding peace efforts in Yemen, the United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, arrived today in Sana'a, as part of his efforts to renew the armistice and move towards permanent peace negotiations.

Today, the UN Security Council will hold a closed consultation session to discuss developments in the situation in Yemen and efforts to restore and extend the armistice.
