“With this article, Medvedchuk tried to show that there is another, alternative Ukraine with points of view that differ from Zelensky’s.

And, probably, he will try to gather such people together with this article.

Not necessarily within the framework of a political party,” he told RIA Novosti.

According to the political scientist, in Ukraine there is a request for a peaceful resolution of the conflict at the negotiating table.

“Medvedchuk expressed those thoughts that no one else expresses in Ukraine.

At the moment, there is only one point of view - the official point of view of Zelensky's office, that it is necessary to fight with Russia to the bitter end, ”Molchanov explained.

He added that Medvedchuk's position from the published article could be presented on the negotiating platforms to foreign negotiators as a negotiating one without ambitions to lead this process.

“I spent six months in Germany, and it seemed to me that every month the public mood was leaning towards the idea of negotiations, and not just pumping Ukraine with weapons, as evidenced by the regular anti-war rallies,” Molchanov said.

He expressed his conviction that one day the German authorities will be forced to pay attention to this position, since this will already be the position of the voters.

Medvedchuk wrote an article for the Izvestia newspaper.

In it, he, in particular, stated that the majority of American and European politicians do not want any peace for Ukraine.

He also noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky crushed any opposition in the country before the conflict and did not build any peace, despite the fact that he promised peace during the elections.

According to him, now he himself has become "the personification of war", and the Ukrainian Peace Party has been declared traitors.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said he did not know whether Vladimir Putin read the article of the deputy Medvedchuk.
