Taziev is accused of committing attacks on police officers, military personnel and residents of Ingushetia.
“The court found Ali Taziev guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment in a special regime colony,” TASS quoted the judge as saying.
According to investigators, the militant, together with Doku Umarov, created a criminal community in October 2007, which he led until June 2010.
In October, the FSB announced the arrest in Stavropol and Tomsk of two former militants from the gang of Shamil Basayev and Emir Khattab, who participated in the battle with Pskov paratroopers at Hill 776.
