Barakah nuclear power plant in the western desert of Abu Dhabi, UAE, is the first overseas nuclear power plant won by the Korean government over France in 2009. Units 1 and 2 were completed last year, and units 3 and 4 are expected to be completed this year and next year, respectively.



President Yoon Seok-yeol visited this place yesterday (16th) local time and checked the operation of Unit 3.



UAE President Muhammad, British Deputy Prime Minister Mansour, who is also famous as the owner of Manchester City, and Korean businessmen were also present.



President Yoon said at this meeting that it is time to create results such as additional nuclear power cooperation and joint advancement into third countries based on the success of Barakah.



In the keynote speech at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week held earlier, it was also proposed to expand cooperation in the clean energy sector.
